A Delta plane crashed at Toronto Pearson, leaving multiple people injured

A Delta Airlines flight travelling from Minneapolis to Toronto crashed while landing at Pearson International Airport on Monday, leaving at least three people critically injured.

According to CTV News, a child and two adults were rushed to the hospital with severe injuries. No deaths have been reported.

Passenger John Nelson, who was on board Delta Fight 4819, shared footage from the scene, showing the plane flipped upside down on the tarmac.

The flight, operated by Endeavor Air, left Minnesota an hour late, at 11:34 a.m. (12:34 p.m. Eastern Time), before touching down in Toronto at 2:13 p.m. local time (34 minutes behind schedule, according to Flight Aware). The aircraft is a Bombardier CRJ-900 and has between 70 and 76 seats.

Toronto Pearson confirmed the crash in a statement on social media, revealing that emergency crews were on the scene.

“Toronto Pearson is aware of an incident upon landing involving a Delta Airlines plane arriving from Minneapolis. Emergency teams are responding. All passengers and crew are accounted for.”
