A tragic incident has rocked the community as a 21-year-old female water polo instructor lost her life to a brutal attack with a hammer. A trace of the call led them to the clifftop at Diamond Bay Reserve in Vaucluse, known as ‘The Gap,’ where they discovered a backpack and some of his personal belongings.
It is worth noting that during the COVID-19 pandemic, Thijssen had been in Australia alone for a substantial 18-month period. A school insider suggested that while he may not be considered psychotic, the isolation experienced during this dark period may have had an impact on him.
Furthermore, it was revealed that Ms. James had been in a ‘secret relationship’ with Thijssen for a few weeks leading up to her tragic demise. This incident has sent shockwaves through the community, leaving many searching for answers and justice.
